nhl Yesterday was the final day of the regular season.  It came down to the wire in the Western Conference for the 8th playoff spot.  Chicago could have clinched the final playoff spot, but lost to the Red Wings in regulation.  This left Dallas with an opportunity to move on if they won in regulation or OT.  They looked pretty good until the 3rd when they allowed Minnesota to get the go ahead goal and win the game allowing Chicago to clinch the final playoff berth for the west.

  1. There are plenty of teams that move down south that are great. But you’re loikong at places that have very fairweather markets. Atlanta has had two hockey teams. Atlanta Flames and Atlanta Thrashers. Folk that live in Atlanta only like to see the team when they’re winning as opposed to say Nashville Predators fans, who attend games year round. Win or lose.Los Angeles has a LOT of sports teams. Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, etc, etc. Kings haven’t been a big contender’ lately. No hype = Fairweather fans. But that’s just that sort of market, and hopefully it gets better. My two cents!
